Best Used With Drawn Comb

These spacers work best on frames that already have drawn comb — bees extend the existing comb outward to fill the wider spacing. Used with brand-new foundation instead, bees may build cross comb, which makes frame management harder. If you're setting up new foundation, standard 10-frame spacing is the safer starting point.
